NewsLink’s end is ever nearing. Praise God. My final story is about the Millennium Place homes, which are really interesting. They are these really brightly colored homes just southeast of downtown Muncie. They replaced Munsyanna Homes, which were built in 1946 and declared by U.S. Housing & Urban Development in 1996 as the most distressed housing development in all of Indiana.
Then Jay and I went out to Parker City, east of town, and picked up my free twin bed, which I found on craigslist. Parker City is a really cute town, with a saloon we decided we would go to for my 21st birthday. We got back in time to work at the DN and rode our bikes to Skyline and Arby’s for dinner.
Jay is getting out of his lease, which is exciting. It’s just not working out as well as he had hoped, with stuff breaking, the landlord being unreliable and neighbors being annoying. His landlord said she would let him out of the lease if he found someone to take his spot. I made a craigslist posting for it at night, and he immediately got two replies to see the house.
